I just got this last night. I got all of the hardware connected and I wanted to do a simple "blink" type program on one of the pins. I struggled with my code because the program compiled and loaded but the hardware didn't do what I expected. A google search turned up the attached link with some sample code. After studying that I saw that I was missing the Wire.begin() function.
Here are some things that a beginner may benefit from.
1) If you are powering up the Centipede from the Arduino board, one of the included two pin jumpers must be installed on the PWR header in the 5V position.
2) I'm using an Arduino Pro 5V/16MHz , but I'm only running both boards at 3.3V.
